Glitter Girl did a video awhile back about scrapping vintage photos and how to make them look good with newer papers. it inspired me to scrap some old photos, although mine were already in black and white so i didn’t have to think much about matching colors. i did want the papers to have the feel of the time period though, so i used some October Afternoon:
adore: Julia giving a taste to Jeanette. January 1956
doesn’t the background paper remind you of a long-ago kitchen? maybe one from one of your family members? i remember this kitchen, it was painted turquoise which is what inspired me to paint my kitchen turquoise.
M is for memories: Jeanette talking on the phone. love the cowgirl boots!this photo is dated August 1957, and my mom (Joyce, Jeanette’s big sister) and dad got married in June 1957, i wonder if Jeanette is talking to Joyce on the phone?
i have lots more old photos so this will be an ongoing project – what’s one more, right?!
